Experience

Sept 1986 – Both myself and Robert became apprentices as carpenters for local builders.

Oct 1999 – J.W Carpentry started

Small partnership sub-contracting to a number of larger companies.

As the jobs got bigger we started working for a developer providing the carpentry in converting two bed room Victorian Houses in to six bed room student lettings.

April 2003 -Jackson Ward Carpentry Ltd

With  the trust built between ourselves and our client we took over from being the sub-contractor to developing the Victorian houses as main contractors. This work continued for several years.

We then started a development in Gwydir Street Cambridge in which we demolished a five bed roomed property and rebuilt this into 8 flats (pictures attached)

We carried on developing the Victorian houses and completed on average ten properties a year.

Whilst still working for the same developers we expanded out and started working on loft conversions and extensions and still do to this day. This is the source of about 80% of our work

In 2014 we were asked to build two new builds in my village of Comberton Cambridge which we completed within the expected time. These were built to a very high standard of workmanship (pictures attached).

The company has grown from year to year from no more than word of mouth as we have never advertised except for the logo on our vans.

In 2016 changed our name to Jackson Ward Development Ltd  as we had outgrown ourselves as just Carpenters.

All the work we have done within the last 13 years has been to a very high standard of workmanship and we could get as many references as required from many if not all of the past work.

If you have any questions about our company, please do not hesitate to contact us as we are very proud and passionate about our company.
